The Ghostly Hand that Walks by Itself

Special Club Night

Halloween Night

30th October 2007

Our Host Tam O'Shanter & his bride, AKA Ken & Bar
    And he can play!
Said a Potten End Dancer:- "A bitch
Affected my dance with a witch
    She took 'Tam O' Shanter'
    At such a brisk canter
I had to retire with a stitch"

Our Music Meister - Karl Sandeman

A teacher at Potten End, Ken,
Said "We'll dance 'The Dream Catcher' again
If we can't get it right
On Hallowe'en Night
What chance do we stand in the Dem?"

The undead dance!

A reckless young dancer at Potten End
On Hallowe'en Night had a rotten end
She danced 'Widdershins'
with identical twins
The pulled her apart and each got an end!

You don't want to meet him in a dark graveyard!

And this one's fearsome as well

Said the Potten End Vicar "It's clear
That Hallowe'en rites happened here
You danced until dawn
In the nude, on my lawn
Can I have a ticket next year?"

Some ghouls caused a great deal of mirth
By dancing for all they were worth
Dressed up to the hilt
In cobwebs and kilt
Performing a fine Duke of Perth

A handsome witch this one!

The Count is looking for a meal!

At Berkhamsted, on Hallowe'en
A Bannockburn ghost, hardly seen
Said "It hardly seems fair
To dance 'Up in the Air'
When I vanished in 1314"

Now, what have they been on?

There was a young lady of Wilts,
Who walked up to Scotland on stilts;
When they said it was shocking
To show so much stocking,
She answered, 'Then what about kilts?'

Edward Lear

Much the same as they've been on
