Whether you are an Intermediate or Advanced dancer this class is for you.  New Dancers should attend the classes on Tuesdays.

Ken has provided this summary of what he plans to cover:

We will have a look at a few dances from the Highland Ball that have unusual formations, and take the time to learn these figures – so that when a Tuesday MC calls (say) “dance the Spoke” you know exactly what to do for the next 8 bars without any further words.
We will choose from the following dances:
  • Neil M Grant (The Spoke)
  • Applecross Strathspey (Diamond Poussette)
  • The Waternish Tangle (The Targe)
  • The Robertson Rant (Double Ladies chain – and a bit of Highland Schottische)
  • Ray Mibourne (Men’s Chain)
The All-round Poussette is not uncommon, but a lot of dancers struggle trying to get it right.
Gerry will include the Applecross Strathspey and Ray Milbourne in his dance programme on Tuesday – so you will be able to breeze through it and show others the way!
