This class provides an introduction to Scottish Country Dancing covering the key steps and formations that will enable students to move into the club social dancing and join the Improve your Dancing Classes. It is open to those new to Scottish Dancing and club members who want to brush up on basic steps and formations.
For those new to dancing there is more information here. The cost is £9/class payable termly. Alternatively this class is included as part of a membership subscription.
The class runs at Potten End Village Hall from 7.15pm to 8pm. New dancers will then join the social dancing from 8.15pm to 9pm initially for just a couple of dances but as experience grows for the whole of the session.
This class runs every Tuesday from 3 March 2026 until 9 June 2026. Participants usually find they need about a year to feel really confident in social dancing or moving on to other classes but it will vary. This class is also open for all club members who want to brush up on basic formations and steps. There is no class on 24 March 2026 (when students will join the Easy Tuesday band night) or on 16 June 2026 (when students will join the End of Season dance evening).
You are welcome to join the class at anytime during the year.
