The new dancing season is about to start so here is a summary of the key dances at Berkhamsted Strathspey and Reel Club for the year.
16 November 2019 – Carnforth Collection Dance, an evening focused on dances devised by Derek Haynes, with music from Ian Robertson. Note while all are welcome this is focused on more experienced dancers. Dances will be recapped but not walked through.
17 November 2019 – Day School with teachers Atsuko Clement; Joan Desborough; Lizzy Conder and musicians Ian Robertson; Ken Martlew; Calum Mitchell. Note this is being held in a new location: White Hill Centre, Chesham, Bucks, HP5 1AG. To book please contact the dayschool@berkhamstedreelclub.org.
6 December 2019 – LEx Dance at Bovingdon Village Hall with music from Ken Martlew and Barbara Manning
8 February 2020 – Highland Ball with music from Ian Robertson and his guest band (there is a ball practise on the previous Saturday)
16 May 2020 – Spring Dance with music from Calum Mitchell and his band
